"Sound + Vision is an invitation to rethink how we perceive the sensations of our everyday lives. Through a balance of layered tones and striking textures, my goal is to depict the movement and shapes that subtly accompany our lives. From the sounds we hear passing summer block parties to the songs shared by loved ones on playlists from afar, each has specific elements waiting to be expressed as splashes of colors. As the textures play against one another, I encourage the audience to pause with the undemanding aspects of life and remain present in the experience itself. ⁠

I believe that we too often view the world through a singular and narrow lens, only allowing our habitual and empirical experiences to inform our perspective. Through my work, I hope to widen that lens, even if it is at the smallest degree. ⁠

By incorporating elements of synesthesia, I create a visualization of music. My hope is to transcend traditional interpretations of experience and to reimagine the familiar. Intended to feel elusive, I invite the viewer to envision the potential of each piece in their own regard, thereby making the final product one of collective consciousness." ⁠

"Being away from someone you love for extended periods is a hardship many people know. There’s an ache that goes with it that never seems to dull.⁠
Every year for Valentine’s Day I do a special photo. I thought this year might be an exception if I wanted to shoot outside, and I pref er shooting outside. Just in time, the temperatures got a little more tolerable and I ran home and packed a few things and headed out to wait for sunset. There are a few things I don’t like about this photo, things I couldn’t fix in post because it was errors during the shoot... and I hesitated to even upload it. But indeed, I worked hard on it. Not everything will be perfect, and I guess I need to remember that more. Still, this is what I’ve had in my mind and hopefully everything comes with a lesson."⁠

So much gratitude for the amazing people who help us make magic all year round. All this client wanted for Christmas was a painting that spoke to his love of wine, thank you @lisa_noonis. This spot has VERY shallow clearance between the oven door and wall, thank you @dolphinframes for the beautiful silver-leafed frame at the perfect depth. And finally, thank you @ansontheornery for being available to expertly install this beauty on a porcelain tile wall. All of it done just in time for the holidays!⁠
