What interests me currently is the immense, evolving effort and construct ion behind the infrastructures we are creating and maintaining. The girders, counterweights, supports and devices that brace the rails, shore up the docks, bolster the buildings, raise the curtains. The structures behind the structures. Nature is incomprehensibly complex, but mankind too has achieved an amazing intricacy that I hope to commemorate in these paintings.
